Learn how I used to get 100% for grammar tests! My name is Sasha and I am South African. My grandmother could speak German and I got the opportunity to learn it at university. My teaching methods are all about making you feel comfortable to make mistakes! As a second language learner myself, I know how hard it is to try and learn a new language. Let me help you learn German! Teaching A1-B2 levels and preparation for the Goethe examinations at these levels. I use the Menschen textbook series from Hueber. Since I am also a German second-language speaker, this allows me to give you a level of comfort when speaking to me that cannot be obtained with a native speaker. I also have knowledge of linguistics to really give you detailed feedback in regards to pronunciation and methods of learning. I’ve got a Bachelors degree in English Language and Linguistics and German Studies. I’ve also completed an Honours degree in both of these majors and I’m currently doing my Masters thesis in German Studies examining how foreign language students learn with video. I can teach both English and German, having experience in teaching both of these at university since 2017 and I’ve not only given private tutelage in German, but I have also taught second language school learners English literacy skills and continue to do both of these. I also have a TEFL Level 3 certificate with 120 hours. I am mostly comfortable with learners that have no prior knowledge of German, but I also teach at the moment up until the B2 level of the CEFR.
