ðãConversational English Courseã
7 ways to quickly improve your English speaking skills AND the practice we will do in the course!
1. Watch movies in English
ððū Watching series on Netflix might not exactly improve your debating skills or formal register, but it helps you to understand the language better, get used to colloquial, conversational forms of English
2. Immerse yourself in English language news
ððūTry to sample a broad range of English language newspapers, including broadsheets as well as magazines and tabloids
3. Start a vocabulary book of useful words
ððūEither in a notebook or on your computer, start making a list of useful words and phrases. Every time you hear or see a word youâre not familiar with
4. Have conversations in English
ððūAs helpful as listening and reading tasks may be, you also need to use English interactively and practice your own speaking skills
5. Practice, practice, practice
ððūLetâs face it, academic phrases wonât just fall from heaven and straight into your brain
6. Curiosity doesnât always kill the cat
ððūIn order to improve rapidly, you should ask a lot of questions and resolve them. Donât just read phrases. Ask why they are used in a particular way, whether other constructions are possible as well and donât trust everything you read online.
7. Donât forget to have fun while you learn
ððūIf studying the English language only feels like a burden, it will seem tedious and you wonât perform as well. This is why itâs important to stay motivated and enjoy the experience of learning a new language
