I'm French and I'm fluent in English and Spanish and a bit of Lao. Today I live in Luang Prabang, Laos, where I teach French in schools as well as with individuals and professionals. Before that, I worked as an FLE teacher in an Alliance Française in Guatemala for 4 years! I was also Director of Pedagogy. I design specialized pedagogical programs, intensive training courses and also creative courses using theater. I have a Master's degree in French, specializing in art, educational design and interculturality, and another in general biology teaching. (and a third in Intellectual Property ^^) A long time ago I was an engineer in Biotechnology ^^ I traveled in Latin America 6 years ago before settling in Antigua. I did a lot of volunteer work, notably for Teach For All in Bolivia I love to sing and I have a band: Jam4Wine, we do JAM! I like writing, especially science fiction! I play the piano, rock-climb and act. I love discovering people and what makes them tick! I sincerely believe that everyone can learn and succeed, it's just a question of finding the way that suits you best, and I'm not afraid to try! 👨‍🏫 I have experience with all levels from A1 (beginner) to C2 (advanced) 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 I have taught students of all ages from 4 to 80 years old and I have worked with people from many countries from: Guatemalan, Mexican, American, English, Australian, Indian, Korean, Chinese, German and more! To help you learn I can provide the educational material that I have been developing for 6 years now. ‣ I know how to do placement tests to help you find your language level ‣ I know how to design educational progressions to help you achieve your goals ‣ I have done specialized training on pronunciation / grammar / literature ‣ I have designed and taught Intensive Specialized Trainings for: 🎨Artists 🗺️ Tourism Professionals 👩‍🎓 Higher/University Students wishing to study in France ‣ If you want more freedom I also do conversation classes!! 🗣 📚The Alliance Française, where I work, are the centers responsible for the DELF/DALF formal French exams. I am therefore specifically trained to enable you to pass your exams. 📈 I have mastered the CECRL program (International French Evaluation Program) and the teaching of the different evaluation elements: Listening Comprehension, Oral Expression, Reading Comprehension, and Written Expression. MY WORKING METHODS ARE: 1️⃣ Identify your level / your objectives / your constraints and your way of learning. 2️⃣ Find the teaching method that suits you and the type of themes that you like. 3️⃣ Develop the skills you need (and want!). 4️⃣ Establish a long term progress plan, if you want. My classes are not pre-prepared and uniform, because every person is different and learns differently! To speak a language is to want to communicate and share. We will talk about the subjects that suit you, and that you like, to help you learn French. If you have the time and the desire, I think it helps to also give written exercises as homework. (In my classes we will talk a lot !! and you can take the time to learn and write between our classes.) As a teacher I can help you understand how to move forward and succeed, but learning is a choice and a personal motivation. We can work as a team to progress ^^ I want a relationship of trust with my students. I fully understand that life can sometimes include surprises and unforeseen events, good or bad!
