Hello, I’m Maddie Kate! How are you? I am a native English speaker from the United Kingdom, but I am currently living in Spain. I have been teaching English in different places now for two years and have had the opportunity to meet so many different people from different places. I am love teaching because I have a passion for languages myself. I currently speak English, Spanish and Catalan, and I have recently started German and Chinese as well. Apart from learning languages, I love to listen to music, read books, draw and dance! I have been playing the piano since I was very young, and music is a really important to me. In my classroom, the student is the priority. I make sure all my classes are tailored to each student that I have and that it is at a time that suits them. My classes are normally based around conversation practice; a tactic that has time and time again shown to improve fluency as well as confidence. Not only this, but they are more enjoyable and allow my students to relax and enjoy the process of learning a new language. I also do grammar classes like I would normally in a classroom, but you will have to request those prior to the class as they require more preparation. I do not do specific exam prep, sorry! My lessons are engaging and easy to follow as well as fun and relaxing. I like to take the approach that if you enjoy learning the language then you will be more committed to learning it. I am flexible but always leave you with the sense that you have learnt something in the lesson. There’s need to worry about materials in my classroom as I provide them! I have a range of different resources that I have gathered over the years in order to make the lesson as pressure free as possible. Normally, this could include stories, (for children) articles, worksheets, links to online games and videos, quizzes, etc. depending on what type of class it is and what age the student is. However, if you require a certain textbook, you can send me copies of the pages and I can use that to help you learn as well. I am very adaptable with my classes. I love being able to teach online because not only is it a great way to meet people from all over the world, but I also love to travel and can do it anywhere! I look forward to hearing from you soon. I do not require much from students, apart from a mutual respect and that they are punctual to our classes. Other than that, I am a very easy-going teacher that only wants to help.
