I am currently pursuing a BA in Environmental and Wildlife Biology at one of the world's top Universities. I am also TEFL certified and have over 3 years of informal experience helping people improve their fluency in English. I can assist you in your language learning goals by teaching you the most natural ways to express yourself in different situations, helping you with your pronunciation and giving you plenty of space to actually use the language. My classes will be highly focused on getting YOU to speak and to get you closer to your fluency goals, whatever they may be!~
ðAbout my coursesð
â Classes are tailored towards students who already have a basic understanding of English grammar and vocabulary but would like to improve their speaking skills, pronunciation and overall fluency.
â If you are hoping to learn grammar or vocabulary systematically from the beginning then I am not the right teacher for you. However, I am the right teacher for you if you aim to boost your English speaking ability through conversation and discussion, learn natural expressions/slang, and gain confidence and eloquence in oral communication.
Everyday English Series
The main goal of this series is to help you:
ðļImprove your ability to navigate conversations in various situations
ðļPractice communicating naturally and confidently
ðļLearn common expressions and slang fitting various everyday scenarios
ðļHave authentic conversations + receive feedback during class time
Debate Series
In this series you will mainly practice:
ðļCritical and quick thinking
ðļResolving conflicts and disagreements
ðļArticulating your thoughts and asserting your opinion
ðļHolding meaningful and deeper discussions on important topics
If neither of the two above options fully suit you, feel free to reach out to discuss personalized lessons tailored to your own goals and needs. Perhaps you prefer playing games, acting out skits or simply free-talking about your favorite topics? I am flexible as long as your goals involve oral application.
ðTeaching styleð
ðĒClasses will be customized to satisfy the needs, interests and goals of each student. Let me know what you are into!~ð
ðĒDuring the lessons, you will have plenty of time to actually SPEAK. The focus will not be on study, but on application of the language.
ðĒ You donât have to be perfect. If you have trouble expressing yourself clearly, I will help you articulate your thoughts. If you express yourself unnaturally, I will help you speak more naturally. If your pronunciation is unclear, we will work on that ;)
ðĒI think it is important to know how different expressions vary in meaning and how to choose the most appropriate one in different situations. There will be decent focus on this during class as well. I want you to become a confident speaker!
â Classes will be conducted fully in English. If you are really stuck, you may use Korean or French to get your main point across and I can help you express it in English. However, you should not expect to rely on your native language, as its use will be very limited during class.
â Classes cancelled less than 24hours before the lesson cannot be refunded or rescheduled. If you cannot make it, please let me know in advance.
Thank you for the time Nella preparing the customized material/ topics for me and being patience in coaching me for the past few months. Your inspiration, sense of humour and tenacity brought a whole new learning experience to myself.
She is very kind, and she finds subjects for you to speak about! If you need something especially specific she is open and she will do her best to help you. I liked speaking during my lessons :)
