I booked a Cebuano trial lesson with Roselle. Roselle also speaks waray-waray as well as Cebuano. We covered basic phrases and also engaged me in conversation. She understood the assignment and I learned some new vocabulary too. Salamat sa klase Roselle! 🙏🏼

I booked a trial lesson with Jen for 25 mins. We had natural conversation topics where I would respond and she would tell me the correct vocabulary in Cebuano. Very quick lesson, thank you Jen!

She teaches me Cebuano step by step. She tried to tell me the meaning of each words because I told her I wanted to know them. I'm very interested in the topic that she created.

Thanks for trial lesson and it was great time for me to start as beginner. There were some difficult pronunciations, but she taught repeatedly till I could pronounce it. It was really one of my targets for the lessons.

The lesson was absolutely amazing, remarkably easy, and conducted in a friendly manner. From the beginning, there was minimal pressure, allowing me to maintain a comfortable pace without feeling overwhelmed by the need to absorb everything within seconds. Despite being just a trial lesson, it made a significant impact, and I am eager to schedule another session.

My daughter had a great time on her trial lesson on learning Cebuano with Miss Joyce. Her interaction was engaging. She prepared a good plan for beginners where my daughter is feeling eager to learn more Cebuano words. At the end of the lesson, Miss Joyce gave her time to ask questions which can be used for the next lesson. She is very much looking forward to her next Cebuano class. Thank you Miss Joyce :-)

I've really enjoyed learning Cebuano from Gino! His teaching style is very patient and thorough and I appreciate how his explanations explore colloquial and real-life expressions rather than just text book sayings. I'm definitely booking more classes with him!

Gino is a good teacher, He know which part is weak of me, so he guide me create my own sentence in diffence topic. I am really appreciate of him. I will take more effort in Tagalog and hoping one day i can talk with Gino in Tagalo without any help in English.

This being my first class, I felt so nervous! Ryan's easy going and friendly demeanour quickly alleviated any worries and I enjoyed our conversation immensely. The discussion was structured in a way that allowed us to connect and get to know each other's learning/teaching styles, but also in a way that felt natural and organic, rather than awkward and stilted like it would be learning from a textbook. I felt comfortable enough to speak my (awkward) Cebuano, with Ryan giving great feedback in terms of local pronunciations and explanations.

I had a great trial class with Charlyn. She adapted to the amount of experience I had with the language and kept the class engaging, fun, and the perfect level of challenging. Looking forward to booking with her in the future!

Incredible teacher! She offers challenging tasks and keeps her students positively engaged in classwork. Even offers homework for after class studies and practice. I cannot speak for the other teachers here, but she definitely gives the students the money's worth 💖

The class is always enjoyable for me, because it's a two learning. Not only do I learn the language, but we also learn from each other our culture! So I really do recommend Chariza highly for anyone who is looking to learn not only the language but culture of Cebu/Philippines

Today, Chariza and I went over a (very beautiful) poem that she wrote. This poem, which I posted on Facebook, has been described by a friend of mine as "very deep Bisaya, even I don't understand some of the words." What I did was try to translate each word individually via Google for homework, and today we corrected the individual words, and then gave the best way to say the same line in English. It was very difficult, but turned out to be the most productive language lesson I've received in my life. We discussed how difficult it is to literally translate things, i.e. "sunshine" literally translates to "immaculate daytime", and a certain phrase which could be referred to as generic - Filipinos know it refers to graduation day. Chariza is extremely intelligent, but also great at explaining complicated issues in a simple way. I am very pleased with this lesson and look forward to similar exercises, because in my opinion this is way better use of time than typical textbook learning.
