I have over a decade of experience in business ownership, technical trades and innovation while teaching English conversation.
Working professionals from around the world find themselves in a digital global work place these days. But whether you come from Beijing, Berlin or Buenos Aires, you find that you have to express most of your ideas and findings in English. Having a command of English can streamline the process of science, business and research on a global stage, but not being proficient in English sometimes creates barriers and possible conflict.
I like to use the term “Coach” instead of “Teacher” as I do not drill my students in grammar and phonics, but I believe that conversation as a whole is more important and more effective over time.
【Conversation】【Adults】【American English】
A relaxed open conversation session about anything you like. Such a conversation with a native speaker can open up your vocabulary and polish your pronunciation.
【Business】
1. Businesses
Talking about other businesses is, essentially, talking business. Other businesses could be friends, foes, inspirations or anything else. A simple topic, yet such a deep one.
2. Negotiations
No verb goes with the word “business” better than “negotiation.” Some could say negotiations are business. It’s a good topic that has students speaking about any and all kinds of negotiations.
3. Job Interviews
Unless you got a job connection from a friend or a family member, chances are you have something to say about job interviews. They are the “first dates” of the business world and this could be a role play or a Q and A session.
